Chaedrol Fund Chaedrol Fund engages with helping organizations on behalf of Chaedrol LLC, a federal acquisition consultancy, making targeted investments in our community to 501(c)(3) organizations. We are especially interested in helping organizations across three focus areas: Basic needs, including shelter and feeding programs Mental health, including substance abuse The Arts, particularly organizations that feature the work of underrepresented artist Annually, the Chaedrol Fund provides grants of between $1,000 and $5,000. New partners are eligible to receive a grant of $1,000 and will automatically receive at least $1,000 next year so long as they submit a grant report. Chaedrol Fund has previously granted Bread for the City on an unrestricted basis; this is the first grant restricted to the primary care clinic. Loaves and Fishes, a ministry of St. Stephen and the Incarnation: Provides hot, nutritious meals at noon each weekend day and federal holiday. This is Chaedrol Fund’s second grant to the organization. In memoriam DC native, former Postie, and long-time contributor to DC’s nonprofit community passed August 2023. William R. MacKaye’s Post obituary is linked here. In September 2023, Chaedrol Fund donated $5,000 in honor of Mr. MacKaye, a long-time friend of the fund.
